Eryri Mountain Skills Weekend
Eryri Mountain Skills Weekend
Train, develop, and run with confidence in the mountains of Eryri on this fully coached, immersive mountain running weekend. Designed for runners who want to develop their mountain skills, efficiency, and confidence on technical terrain under experienced coaching - all while enjoying relaxing accommodation and time to recover properly in a beautiful mountain setting.
Hosted by Anna from Run Eryri, this weekend blends structured coaching with unforgettable running in one of the UK’s most inspiring mountain environments.
This weekend is ideal for:
Trail and ultra runners moving into more mountainous terrain
Runners preparing for mountain races or adventure challenges
Athletes who want specific coaching on technical terrain, not just guided runs
Those who value learning, recovery, and community alongside quality miles
You should be comfortable running continuously for 90 minutes on trails and ready for a full mountain day on Sunday.
Weekend Itinerary
Day 1 – Arrival & Easy Trail Run
Arrive in Eryri by 2pm to meet the team and fellow runners before check-in.
Start your mountain running weekend with a relaxed, social trail run (approx. 90 minutes). This run is about loosening the legs, assessing terrain, and setting the tone for the weekend.
In the evening enjoy a group dinner at a local restaurant — refuel, relax, and get to know your fellow runners.
Day 2 – Coaching, Hills & Recovery
Start the day with a decent breakfast at the hotel.
Then, fueled up, we will head into the mountains for a structured hill session, focusing on:
Efficient climbing and descending
Pacing and effort control
Technical footwork
Using terrain to your advantage
Later in the afternoon there will be a yoga session led by local instructor specifically targeted for runners.
Some time to relax followed by dinner.

Expect:
Sustained climbs
Technical trails
Coaching on pacing, nutrition, and mountain decision-making
A supportive, well-managed group environment
